Old Executive Office Building from the South Grounds, Reagan Administration
This photograph, taken by National Geographic photographer Joseph H. Bailey, shows the Old Executive Office Building as it appeared in April 1983 from the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden on the South Grounds of the White House. Formerly called the State, War, and Navy Building, it was renamed the Eisenhower Executive Office Building with legislation signed by President Bill Clinton in 1999 and with a ceremony presided over by President George W. Bush in 2002.
