The team’s visit followed competition in Seoul, South Korea earlier in the month. Surrounding President Reagan were some of the stand-out athletes from that Olympiad: kayaker Greg Barton, swimmer Matt Biondi, swimmer Janet Evans, track and field star Florence Griffith Joyner, and boxer Andrew Maynard.
