This photograph of the White House Historical Association's retail kiosk on the Pathway of Peace near the illuminated National Christmas tree was taken by Thomas Geortel on December 4, 2021. At the kiosk on the Ellipse, White House Historical Association staff and volunteers sold the official White House Christmas Ornament to visitors to the National Christmas Tree. In 2021, the official White House Christmas ornament honored the legacy of President Lyndon B. Johnson and featured a reproduction of the Johnsons' 1967 Christmas card which included an illustration by Robert Laessig of the Blue Room Christmas Tree. In 2021, staff at the kiosk wore face masks and and abided by other safety protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
