Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Reagan Administration
This photograph of the East Landing was taken by Dennis Dimick in July 1982 during the Ronald Reagan administration. The East Landing is located in the East Wing of the White House and is among the first sights visitors encounter on a public tour of the White House. The East Landing also provides access to the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, as seen through the door in this photograph. Formerly called the East Garden or First Lady's Garden, the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden was formally dedicated to Jacqueline Kennedy by First Lady Lady Bird Johnson in 1965.
