Vice Biden hosted the formal dinner for Prime Minister Netanyahu and his delegation at the vice president's residence at the United States Naval Observatory. Vice presidents have traditionally lived at their official residence at Number One Observatory Circle since Walter F. Mondale moved into the house with his family in 1977. However, the house was selected by Congress for use as the vice president's official residence in 1974, and Vice President Nelson A. Rockefeller used the house for entertaining.
